Globe Telecom Might As Well Just Move In

What is so mother fucking hard about providing an internet connection that stays connected? Honestly, most of the world had this mastered 20 fucking years ago. But not in Philippines.

Oh but wait! Filipinos are the best at everything! Or so that is what I keep hearing around this fucking place.

I hate to burst their bubble, but Filipinos have to work very hard and maintaining a level just a cunt hair above utterly fucking useless.

All day long my Globe connection goes dead for a few minutes, then it comes back on. This happens about 12 to 15 times a day for the past 2 months. I mean, they were pretty good for about 6 or 7 months, then it started again. And their "technicians" have been here 6 times this month. And February is a short month!

Oh yes, they come, pretending like they know what they're doing. Stay for a couple hours with their stuff connected to the modem, checking, testing, pretending to do things. Then it's "ok na sir".

I tell them, "Yeah, it's ok na for about 2 hours. Soon after you leave, it will disconnect again."

"No sir, we find problem, fixed na."

Yeah ok, whatever. See you next week.

Sure enough, that evening, it's right back to the same stupid shit. Next time they come, I'm going to tell them the apartment downstairs is vacant, and they should move in and save a bunch of travel time.

These morons just have no clue. No clue at all about anything.

Then when it did go down they were there the very next day (Sunday) to fix it. Never had a problem with slow speed or the net dropping.

Fiber is only available in very limited areas. They advertise it like anyone can get it. I lived right in the heart of the city, and when I called to order it, "sorry sir, not available in your area." So I asked what areas IS it available? Turns out it was only available to the very affluent gated communities. Idiots.Fiber is only available in very limited areas. They advertise it like anyone can get it. There's no point in asking for good internet in this hellhole. I already gave up, I know way more than their call center people, and even more than their so called "technicians". They just kind of read stuff on paper and if the "parameters" are within the values it's ok. They have no idea how to fix it. Most of the problem lies in the physical lines that they don't bother fixing that run through the cities back to the hub building. The other side of it is that they use cheap cgnat that's shittier than normal compared to other countries. There's no point in asking for good internet in this hellhole. It might be non-relevant, but who's the main owners of Globe and PLDT...? Everybody complains about this - okay, not so much private users, but those I know who runs a business and need 100% connection, are all suffering daily.

Interestingly I found there is no way to actually contact PLDT to cancel my account now that I'm no longer in the country. How hard can it be to provide an email address?

Just wait until they send the bill.

why does Globe need 3 techs to drop off an internet router?

1 Tech to hold the package, 1 Flop to check it's still in the package, 1 FlipFlop to drop it on the floor so it's not working.....

WE had a bill from Globe last week with our address on it for a phone number 600 miles away!

Three days to sort the problem out. Why when you ask a moron at Globe a question do they reply "Yes sir"

"Why do I have a bill for somewhere I don't live?" "Yes sir"

They then keep telling me my phone number that is a number I have never heard of!!!
