The "Mayabang" Filipinos Part 2: Loaning money with the Filipino brain

Another day, another saga with this show off family of mine. I sometimes wish I could get the fuck out of this country and not deal with this family's stupidity.

Just a few days ago, I overheard a conversation with my mom and the rest of the typical mayabang flips in this family. They plan on going to Japan for their "vacation". Right now, they are scrambling trying to get their passports renewed as quickly as possible and my mom asked, "What's the rush?". Don't think I heard a response to that question though. That right there is the first sign of a typical Filipino show off.

Now here is the big kicker of where I don't understand Filipino logic. Apparently, the husband of that family was going to buy some land lot to start an apartment business, however, he lost to another buyer. I don't know the whole story to it, but let's just say he didn't get the land. So after that, not sure if he or the wife brought it up, but they said they are planning to go for a vacation in Japan. Sounds nice and fancy right? Wait till you hear this. Instead of using savings money to fund the trip, they decided to go loan money from the bank, which was suppose to be spent on for the lot.

And I just want to face palm so hard after hearing that. Hell, even my mom is scratching her head on why they made such a retarded decision. It's either these Filipinos are dumb as fuck when it comes to money or they rather show off to their friends and extend families on Facebook or perhaps both. Also, why the rush on getting the passport renewed? You have all the time in the world to plan out your trip. Oh wait, I forgot, this family is TERRIBLE when it comes to that. They love to plan everything right at the last minute.

Pathetic really.

Before I think of taking a vacation abroad, I need to check how much savings I got. Absolutely never borrow money just to fund your lifestyle.

@Mike
Exactly the mastermind tactic of Filipinos. If there were smart with the money to begin with, you wouldn't dare think of loaning money for that. But nah, fuck it, let's just give up buying a property to start a business and use that money to fund the trip. And I bet you they are going to come up with some dumb fuckery excuse on why they can't pay off their loan.

True. I know a couple of Flips who are all about spend spend spend. Later on, they tell me that they are in debt and struggling to pay it back. There is one in my family that borrowed a lot of money from my mom, but never paid back. All she does is come up with some stupid ass excuse saying she can't pay back cause the husband is away for OFW work or some other shit. However, even if the husband returns to the Philippine, she never bothers paying back. Instead, spend half of the money for expensive shit they don't need. Add to the insult, posting it on fucking Facebook.

Like I mentioned in the previous blog entry, one of my relative who loves to travel, but can't learn how to control her own shit. Says she wants to save money, yet eats her own words by traveling again. Few days ago, she saw a GoPro on sale and she badly wants it. Jesus fuck. No fucking wonder why Flips are always getting into this situation of debt. Spending beyond what their means for the sake of trying to impress their peers on fucking Facebook.

@Brian23 In addition to the showing off photos, my wife shows me flips making statements on FB wall that are directly pointed to other flips to rub it on them for some shitty reason. One even said to my wife, how come you don't take photos of your house in Aus and post it for all to see? Response was "why"? Look on flips face, blank stare!@Brian23 In addition to the showing off photos, my wife shows me flips making statements on FB wall that are directly pointed to other flips to rub it on them for some shitty reason. The idiocy of this family getting a loan to fund a vacation is just a microcosm of the entire nation. The government is very bad at managing its money and not only do millions of pesos routinely go missing but now you got the government rejecting interest free grants from the EU in favour of heavy interest loans from China to build infrastructure. So roads and bridges may get built but the end result of Dutertenomics will be debt bondage to China. But of course the government denies this. And that's because they don't understand how money works.

The people at the bank must be as dumb as that globe-trotting family if they loaned it to them anyway if they had any idea the real estate deal fell apart

Speaking of Mayabang:

During the 2016 Election Campaign, Dutetards would ALWAYS peddle this QUOTE around FB & Twitter, juxtapose a picture of PNoy having a full presidential security of his direct family & average upper middle class lifestyle, & sleeping in comfy beds vs. Duterte wearing sando & shorts, no presidential protection, living in a simple house, sleeping in modest bed with mosquito protection net, & riding his Harley-Davidson, with a CAPTION :

"Fake people have an image to maintain. Real people just don't care."

Now, we contrast those pics, with stuff Brian23, GShockandnikesocks, Perplexed, & ControlNumber actually said..........

I was amazed a few days ago when 'Filtards' were praising the Supreme Leader, for his 'Economic Model!' - They thought that 50 Pesos to the Dollar was Good! The Daily Inquirer ran a Story "Inflation reaches 5 Month Low!" - Again the Filtards Jumped on the Bandwagon! - "Good News Duterte! Keep up the Good Work!" Little did they know that the Inflation Rate today is DOUBLE what it was a year ago! I am not surprised that Filipino Accountants find calculating an APR Interest Rate 'Challenging!'I was amazed a few days ago when 'Filtards' were praising the Supreme Leader, for his 'Economic Model!' - They thought that 50 Pesos to the Dollar was Good! DD,
I hope they will keep praising Duterte and his economic policies. Then maybe the exchange rate will hit 100+ per dollar. "As king you must find the good in any situation."
