Waste Not Want Not - Unless YOU Paid For It

Have you ever gone to the house of a Filipino as a guest, and like you're having dinner, and you ask for a napkin. They give you ONE napkin, and it's like 2 inches by 4 inches. You know the ones. Those napkins that when you grab one with your greasy fingers, it is soaked with the grease and dematerializing before you can get it to your mouth.

Or you ask to use their C.R. (fucking restroom), and you're asked if you need tissue, they go into the room where they have it locked the fuck away, and hand you a roll with like 3 sheets left on it. It's as if they save those to give to guests when they visit.

But have them over at YOUR house, where you use proper napkins or paper towels, and they don't ask, the just grab the roll of paper towels and pull off like 3 sheets, wipe their mouth once, and throw it away. A few bites later, they do it again.

Your house has TP in every bathroom, the currently-being-used one, and a new one for when the current on runs out. The relatives leave, and both fucking rolls are either empty, or gone completely. I have had this happen a few times. Is there nothing they won't take? And from virtually their own relatives and friends?

This is why I stopped smoking and drinking alcohol. As soon as you stop smoking cigarettes and drinking alcohol they know you don't need to interact with them. I gave away so many cigarettes and paid for more alcohol than I should. Now I have no friends here and I'm happier than ever. This is why I stopped smoking and drinking alcohol. Lol @ MingMing.

I was always appalled by the stack of napkins they would take at food courts or the cafeteria at work. It's the only place I've been that Starbucks actually hands you one napkin with your order and no longer leaves them on the condiments stand.

These people do the same even when abroad. So embarrassing really. Stayed at a self contained apartment in Brisbane once. The day I checked out the staff were grumbling. The Flip guests a few doors from me stripped the room. Whatever they can carry they took it. In Manila, they asks for P2000 deposit when you check in. The day you check out, they make you wait while they check the rooms. They don't tell you why you can not go yet, but I know that it's because they were checking if you have taken anything. It's annoying and insulting to us who really don't care about taking "souvenirs". Yep, that's what these thieving Pinoys call them. These people do the same even when abroad. So embarrassing really. With Fags (Cigarettes) and Booze, I SHAME them into buying it! - Even if I have bought them myself, and walked to the shop! - Once back, I have a 'Whip-Round' Otherwise they don't get any! "souvenirs", huh. Flips can just do that with language, they "flip" it to sound better (euphemism). these are born thieves. needs to have 'em undergo psychiatric exams for kleptomania before going abroad; work or pleasure.

@dingdong, this is why i made this EFFECTIVE bogus set-up that my wife handles all of my income and i am reliant on "allowances" only. just make sure that flip only knows you. THEY always leaves you without dramas.

IF flip knows both of you, try this:

Flip: can i borrow money?
Me: sorry, no money. wife has all of them.
Flip: okay i'll go see your wife....
Flip: cdo wife, can i borrow money?
Wife: can't, need to as permission from husband. husband might get angry.
Flip: oh, i thought you are in charge....i'll go see your husband.
Flip: cdo, can i ask permission to borrow from your wife?
Me: ok sure. but i told you i am not in charge of the money.
Flip goes to wife again.
Flip: cdo wife, can i borrow money, your husband approves?
Wife: can't, husband did not approve. he said blah blah blah expenses.
Flip: oh, i thought its okay....i'll go see your husband.
Just so keep on the loop until Flip gets tired.
Flip leaves. Happy ending.
