Multiplying Like Rabbits – Irresponsible Flips

Oh, boy….something else the fecking flips can be “proud” of.  Hitting the 100 million mark in a country that cannot feed itself and has land area not much larger than the state of Arizona. What gets me is that, according to the article reprinted below, 100 children throughout the country became the “100,000,000 baby”.  HUH????

Another comment that gets me is thus:  “He and the child’s mother, Dailin Cabigayan, 27, are not yet married. ‘She just happened to get pregnant.’ “  WHAT???

Methinks the only reason that orgasms were created is so the flips will know when to stop copulating 🙁

Original article here:

MANILA, Philippines – A baby girl born early Sunday has officially pushed the population of the Philippines to 100 million, highlighting the challenge of providing for more people in the already-impoverished nation.

The child, Jennalyn Sentino, was one of 100 babies born in state hospitals all over the archipelago who received the symbolic designation of “100,000,000th baby.”

“This is both an opportunity and a challenge… an opportunity we should take advantage of and a challenge we recognize,” Juan Antonio Perez, executive director of the official Commission on Population, told AFP.

While a growing population means a larger workforce, it also means more dependents in a country where about 25 percent of people are living in poverty, he said.

He said the Philippines had to find a way to bring services to the poorest families while also lowering the average number of children that fertile women will bear in their lifetimes.

“We’d like to push the fertility rate down to two children per (woman’s) lifetime,” from the current level of an average of three per woman, he said.

While celebrating the birth of the babies with cake and gifts of clothing and blankets, the government will also monitor each of the designated 100 children over the coming years to see if they are receiving the required health services, Perez added.

Jennalyn’s father, 45-year-old van driver Clemente Sentino, said he was grateful for the government aid, but expressed confidence he could support his child and his partner.

He and the child’s mother, Dailin Cabigayan, 27, are not yet married. “She just happened to get pregnant. But we do have plans to get married,” he told AFP.

“I make just enough to get by but at least my job pays regularly. We will find a way to make it fit,” he said.

Efforts to control the Philippines’ population growth have long been hampered by the influence of the Roman Catholic Church, which counts about 80 percent of Filipinos as followers and which disapproves of all forms of artificial birth control.

It was only in April that the government finally overcame over a decade of Church opposition to implement a reproductive health law providing the poor with birth control services.

Perez said with the law’s implementation, about two to three million women who previously did not have access to family planning now do.

Meanwhile, Father Melvin Castro, head of the commission on family and life of the country’s Catholic bishops, was quoted by a church-run radio station as praising the ballooning population, as there would be more “young workers” to power the economy.

nonsense! the pinoy government doesnt properly count their dead from disasters, murders, skirmishes between separatists and nationalist forces and and deaths related to public transport casualties. Thats what? 100,000 already this year?

On a serious note, i wouldn’t be surprised. When i’m visiting friends in inner luzon, these “side cart boys” as my “tita” calls them, have like 5 kids and they can’t even properly dress and feed them.

“Roman Catholic Church, which counts about 80 percent of Filipinos as followers”

That’s i have a meme question for every pinoy i meet on social encounters. “So what religion do you practice? and why?” 8/10 times the response is “Christian, because i celebrate Christmas.” /facepalm

I totally agree with you brother. This land would have more value if it wasn’t occupied by Filipinos. Thanks for decreasing global progress you dumb Pinoys!

I first cam here in 1993. the population was 65 million. Last month it reached 100 million. 35 million more people in 21 years. To put that in perspective its 1/2 the current UK population and 1/2 the population of France. At the same time there hasn’t been a proportionate increase in infrastructure; how many more roads, damns, power generators etc etc have been built to accommodate the additional MASSES? Sweet FUCK ALL! Little wonder the place goes backwards as every year moves along. Place is fucked forever.

To say I place little faith in the accuracy of government statistics (of all types) would be an understatement.

Does anyone really think that Census-takers trouble themselves to canvass the innumerable squatter areas, or that the inhabitants thereof take the time out of their busy schedules of sleeping, drinking and rooting to carefully and accurately fill out forms? That is, if they can even read and write… C’mon!

I’m certain this country passed the 100-million mark ages ago!

And by the way, I’ve never met a Filipino, claiming to be Catholic, who can quote a single verse from the Bible–except, “Go forth, and multiply!” Seriously.

Tell me about it. They turn up at church, have those freaky-ass Chucky dolls in their houses, and paint biblical slogans on the walls, but when it comes right down to it the Philippines is as heathen as it was before the Spaniards imposed their dubious religion. When you dig a bit deeper you find that the national beliefs are similar to African/Caribbean ones (witches, curses, evil spirits, etc). They’ve just slapped a veneer of Catholicism over the top. I bet there’s not one in hundred Filipinos who could recite the ten commandments, and not one in a thousand who actually lives by them.

Well, just like most followers of any religion, they tend to think they can do anything they want, live any way the want to live, fuck anyone they want to fuck, and all they have to do is confess and they are clean.

        Religion = hypocrisy

“Growing population means a larger workforce”? You’ve got to be fuckin kidding me, this country is full of lazy fucks that keep popping out babies that grow up to be unemployed and useless. Under a busy bridge intersection on Edsa today I saw 4 young kids knocking on car windows and begging for change, only to see them run the money back to an older guy (presumably the father or relative) who is obviously too lazy or too filipino to get a job and provide for these kids.. SMFH

Yep I’ve also seen that as well, shameful exploitation of children and the weak ass powers that be just ride by like nothing. They see what we see but ignore it until something happens then they crawl out of their political hole and try to speak out…..this country is crumbling slowly and no one seems to give a damn.

I love this site! It’s cathartic.

I’m a Filipina myself and I’m more and more ashamed of what Filipinos do each day. I wish they/we would just stop multiplying. Living in a progressive country opened my eyes to how noisy and undisciplined most of us are. Even seeing other (not all) Flips in the mall makes me cringe. Why are we so loud and so… everywhere?

        1. Profile gravatar of FAFI

Last time I talked to a Filipina who pretended to be logical and agreed with all of this turned out to be a total bitch. So don’t blame me for not liking you. I’m just knowing my limits.

          1. Profile gravatar of Sasha

Oh, that’s too bad but I’m not blaming anyone. I really don’t care. Just making some comments here.

I know a Pinay who is working here in Montreal as caregiver for the brother of the ex dictator of Tunisia. She’s also in a sect of course. Believe it or not she is sending almost ALL her money to her family. They think she’s rich so they don’t feel shy spending all this money for everything they want. She told me he brother has an internet cafe but only opens it when he needs money lol. I tried to help her many times with good tips but she never listen to me. She happy getting screwed. Her mind is only in religion.

Don’t hate yourself, or your people, just fix them if possible; because none are going to listen to us. It’s fully understandable why someone would want to leave this place, especially seeing how the rest of the world operates.

See someone cheating another, call them out on it.
See someone pissing on the wall, Tell them to get some manners and find a CR.
See someone being obnoxiously loud without consideration for others, tell them to be quiet and consider that others may need to work or sleep for their work.

Or consider that there are some people out here who have plans to attempt a vast change in this country. A change for the better, and that perhaps, you may want to be part of that change when the time comes and be part of something important.

Amen to that, Spartacus. There are actually plenty of Filipinos who see what’s wrong and want to fix it, but they’re drowning in a deluge of idiocy. They get shouted down (or worse) if they speak out, just like foreigners, but they may yet save the day. Frankly I doubt it – the more likely outcome is that the country will go quietly bankrupt, get annexed and occupied by China, and left a miserable, festering shell after being raped for its resources – but it would be nice to imagine that saner minds will prevail.

I heard this few times but I can`t figure out how the government can possibly eliminate smarter people. My wife told me this many times: No hon if you`re trying to change things they will kill you!
Like if there’s a kind of special police squad whose fighting against Filipino who are trying to improve things. I don`t know but for me it`s hard to believe. I’d love to know how do they do that exactly.

A huge problem here is that the powers that be do not want change. I think they think if they can keep everything chaotic they can control the people in an easier way. Thats why it took so long to pass the Freedom of Information Bill.

          2. Profile gravatar of montreal_dude

The root of this country is the masses. And listen what the masses are saying: IT`S MORE FUN IN THE PHILIPPINES!! They are born in a certain system and they are used to it. They found the happiness inside that mess. For them the chaos is the freedom. Maybe I`m wrong but that`s what I noticed. I barely never heard any Pinoy complaining.

          3. Profile gravatar of Sasha

They wanna keep the people dumb and dumber to keep their powers. It has been the country’s history.

      2. Profile gravatar of Sasha

People who want change and also do something about it are greatly outnumbered. Even the educated ones that are aware of the ills of the country would rather watch Vice Ganda.

The government doesn’t need a special squad. They know that they just have to lift the lid on the empty mind of the average Filipino, fill it with a load of nationalistic bullshit, and the great unwashed will do all the dirty work for them. Extractive governments all over the world work this way. There’s always a long queue of nasty people happy to do evil on behalf of the state.

It’s self-evidently true that the government doesn’t want change. You can see it in the details of every single policy, which contains the seeds of its own subversion (the one I’m familiar with is agrarian land reform, which LOOKS like a land reform program, but is in fact a well-constructed method of keeping or placing land in the hands of the elite).

  8. Profile gravatar of montreal_dude

Yes that`s exactly what I think. Every time my wife is watching Filipino TV I want to bang my head on the wall! Geeeeeez man how the fuck can we broadcast such ugly bullshit that would crack the brain of any civilized person???? Brainwashed by the stupidity
