I have changed the blog post submission system which I think is much easier and better integrated to this site platform. I hope you will like it much better. Please watch this tutorial video on how to use it to add photos, change text styles, etc.
Please just disregard the parts in the video where he goes to the back end admin area. That is intended for administrators like me.
One of the best features about this new system is, it auto-saves your draft. Every time you type in and add more content and stop for a few seconds, it’s going to save your draft automatically. Now you won’t loose your work if something goes wrong.
Let’s say if you’re writing a long post, and you want to finish it tomorrow, just click “save” and it will remain in “draft” status. Then tomorrow you just go to your drafts and click edit, and continue. It will not show up for me to review and publish until you click the “submit for review” button.
FIND AND USE A FEATURED IMAGE FOR YOUR POST
(the ideal size is 970 x 300. Square photos are only going to show the horizontal middle of your photo, so the top and bottom are going to be cut off. Hopefully you have some photo editing skills if you want to make a cool featured image.)
PLEASE SELECT A CATEGORY FOR YOUR POST
AND PLEASE SPECIFY AT LEAST ONE TAG FOR YOUR POST
(Tags are “keywords” which are what your post is about. You can get an idea of tags by looking at other posts, and see the subject of the post, then look at what tags were used.)
Respectfully, I do not have the time these days to finish authoring your posts for you. It’s much easier and faster for me to quickly look over the post, and click the publish button. It sometimes takes much more time to find a related photo, decide what category your post belongs in, and think of the best tags. So if you want your post published expediently, please have all elements in place before submitting. Otherwise your post might have a looooong wait until I have time to do your job for you before it’s published.
So please take the time to learn how to use the blog system. Watch the video above carefully, practice, and soon you’ll be creating awesome posts like our member FHPS!
Thanks for understanding
Let me know what you think!
