I used to have a Smart plug in for my internet but it was getting increasingly patchy and slower over time. I looked at the options and it seemed that a Globe 5mbps for dsl with a land line for P1599 per month would be fine. So i thought.
After minor stuff arounds it was installed and tested ok at 5mbps. After a month or so I felt it was getting slower. Finally started speed testing and it was averaging only 2mbps.
First call was made and it was said to be fixed soon. Second call was made a week later and this time i was escalated and promised soon, whatever that means to them. I started tracking my calls on a word document. After 15 weeks, 30 phone calls, 17 escalations I finally got PLDT installed and terminated their service. I was promised return calls many times and got only 2. All I was ever told was that it was a cabinet problem, whatever the fuck that means?
In one of my early calls I told the told the tech I am holding Globe liable for USD100 per day in damages till they fix the problem. After all was finished they still said I owed them money. I said how the fuck do you think I owe you money for a service you never delivered? You owe me USD9,300 in damages for the 93 days of breach of contract. I took my responsibility and mitigate your damages despite your monumental incompetence.
I exchanged a number of emails after changing to PLDT and cancelling my line and then I got attorney’s letters and texts claiming about P3k in unpaid bills and kept replying where’s my USD9,300 in damages but they never replied to that question. Needless to say after about a year they have given up but I am sure I am blacklisted with Globe forever now. Useless twats!Published in
